Keep your eyes on the ball to nail starter for 10

DEREK MCINNES wants his Hearts players to embrace the challenge of playing for a club that has long-term title ambitions.

New £9.86million investor Tony Bloom turned heads at a fans' forum last Sunday night by saying he would be "very disappointed" if Hearts did not win at least one league title in the next 10 years.

And the Brighton owner has good cause for being bullish after his analytics company helped Union-Saint Gilloise become Belgian champions for the first time in 90 years last season.

McInnes met Bloom for the first time on Tuesday morning just 12 hours after Hearts had won their opening league match against Aberdeen.

Dundee United are next up this Sunday and McInnes, whose new-look team have won their five competitive games of the new campaign, is relishing being involved in an exciting near era in Gorgie.
