A TRAUMATISED teenager who was left in a coma after a brutal assault at TRNSMT music festival has told how he now wakes up screaming "get off me, get off me".
Lee Paton, 16, was placed on a ventilator after he was knocked unconscious by two men who "kicked and stamped" on his head.
The attack took place at a packed Glasgow Green on Saturday, July 13.
He also told how his brave girlfriend, Paige Borland, also 16, saved his life by throwing herself on top of him to protect his head as he lay unresponsive on the ground.
The two thugs kicked her stomach and back before medics and police rushed in.
Lee, from Patna in Ayrshire, said: "If it wasn't for Paige's actions, I'd be dead. She lay on top of me and took kicks to her back and stomach as these two men continued to try and stamp on my head.
"No one else did anything to stop it. The security staff stood back and watched." Lee, who suffered a fractured eye socket and swelling on his brain, has opened up on his ordeal for the first time. He revealed he now has "night terrors" and screams in his sleep since the unprovoked attack.
"I constantly wake up now screaming "get off me, get off me", he continued. "The whole ordeal has deflated me.Dit verhaal komt uit de July 24, 2024-editie van Daily Record.
