MORE than one million cruise ship passengers have arrived in Scotland this year in a major lift for local economies.

A report from Oxford Economics, commissioned by Cruise Lines International Association underlines how the sector supports jobs, businesses, and communities.

Over one million passengers have arrived in Scotland in 2025, with Orkney, Shetland, Invergordon, Greenock and Edinburgh the busiest ports. Cruise capacity has trebled in the 10 years to 2024.
