Boss urges his boys to do the dirty work and snarl their way to World Cup Finals
STEVE CLARKE has ordered his players to get back to being "horrible" to stand any chance of muscling their way through to the next World Cup.
The Scotland boss heads into tonight's closed-door qualifier against Belarus here in Hungary on the back of a gritty, lung-bursting performance in Copenhagen on Friday night as the top-seeded Danes had a number done on them on their own ground.
Now Clarke will send out a different looking side for the clash against the group whipping boys who went down to a 5-1 walloping from Greece three nights ago.
But the Scotland manager has admitted he wants the snarl to stay on the faces of his players as they chase down a golden ticket to Canada, Mexico and the USA.
The national gaffer said: “I want them to be horrible - but horrible in a good way. Horrible in that they make it really difficult for the opposition.
“They work ever so hard when they don't have the ball.
“Everyone likes to do the football that's nice to do - the bits that catch the attention, the shots and good play.
