BOSS Andy Farrell called up son Owen in a sensational Lions development Down Under - then insisted he is now bang in contention for a Test spot.
Farrell Jnr, 33, will arrive in Australia today after answering an SOS call from his father following news Elliot Daly's tour is over after he broke his arm against the Queensland Reds on Wednesday.
Former England captain Farrell has not played since May after concussion finished his disastrous season with Racing 92 in Paris.
Now resigned with Saracens, the fly-half will bring 112 England caps, three Lions tours and more than 1200 Test points to the table plus six Premiership titles and three European Cups when he arrives in Australia.
Farrell stepped back from Test rugby for mental health reasons after the 2023 World Cup, having been targeted by social media trolls.
