ANDO AIMS FOR FAMILY TAI AGED 60
Daily Record
|December 23, 2025
GARY ANDERSON reckons he'd love to keep charging on at 60 for a potential Ally Pally clash with his son Tai.
The two-time champion of the world is a superstar of darts due to his outstanding exploits.
Now offspring Tai is impressing on the board and the 11-year-old has qualified for next month's JDC Worldwide Finals Day at Bradmoor Farm.
Anderson will mark his 55th birthday with a second-round clash against Connor Scutt at the Ally Pally tonight.
And, with the prospect of his boy charging into the senior ranks, there's additional motivation to extend a stellar career.
Anderson said: “I do not practise with him. He does it all himself. He puts in his own practice.
“Monday night, he plays in a tournament. Tuesday, he plays for a pub. Thursday, he plays JDC. Friday, he plays for a pub. And Saturday, Sunday, he plays tournaments.
