Polvara is the benchmark for Jensen as supersub keeps Dons right in thick of it
ALEXANDER JENSEN reckons first-leg sensation Dante Polvara isn't done pulling off heroics in Aberdeen’s latest assault on the continent.
Experienced European campaigner Polvara came off the bench on Thursday night to net and play a major role in the Dons salvaging a 2-2 home draw in their playoff first-leg battle with FCSB.
The American, who has found game time limited from the bench this season, was one of Aberdeen's star performers when they got to the Conference League group stage two seasons ago, scoring big goals against Eintracht Frankfurt and PAOK. Jensen and Co can still go one better by booking their spot in the Europa League proper when making the trip to Bucharest in five days’ time.
Jensen said: “Dante's a good player as well, he always brings something.
“He scored a goal and it was good to see. He has obviously been here for a long time, so he knows the city. He’ a good guy.
