Moneypenny COO outlines eight trends for year ahead
-
As businesses continue to navigate rapid technological, economic and cultural shifts, I believe 2026 will be the year we return to what truly matters: people, purpose and creating workplaces where everyone can thrive.
Here are the trends I see shaping the year ahead, informed by my work leading our incredible teams at Moneypenny.
1. Employee mental wellbeing will sit at the heart of culture
For me, wellbeing can't be a side project. It has to be part of the fabric of how we lead. That means proactive support, peer-to-peer networks and leaders who listen and show up with empathy. At Moneypenny, our mental-health champions and wellbeing check-ins have genuinely changed the way teams look out for one another.
2. Skills fluidity and career mobility will become the norm
Roles are changing too fast for linear career paths. People want the freedom to explore, stretch and evolve. I see internal marketplaces and cross-functional projects becoming standard. Our own teams benefit hugely when they try out different departments or take on projectbased work before stepping into something new.
