Woman stole man’s wallet after talking her way into his flat

A WOMAN talked her way into a victim’s flat and stole his wallet in an “upsetting” incident.

Alison Wells claimed she had a parcel for a neighbour and when the victim went to get a pen and paper to help her write a note for him Wells stole his wallet.

She then used a bank card from the wallet in a shop. A judge at Mold Crown Court jailed the 50-year-old for a total of 14 months.

But he also said former drug addict Wells, of Princes Street, Rhyl, had herself been exploited by others.

Prosecutor Jade Tufail told the court the defendant pressed the buzzer at a flat at 5.45pm on March 18. She told occupant Michael Mason she had a parcel for his neighbour.
