UNITED CAREER LOOKS OVER FOR PAIR

BRUNO Fernandes wished for Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund to step up and become Manchester United's best players over the new season.

UNITED CAREER LOOKS OVER FOR PAIR

However, the duo look to be well on their way to forgetting that dream, as Ruben Amorim pushes to sell more players before the transfer window shuts.

Hojlund was omitted from United's matchday squad that lost 1-0 to Arsenal on Sunday amid interest from AC Milan, among others.

Meanwhile, Garnacho fell out of favour with the Portuguese boss long before preseason began, after criticising Amorim's substitutions during their Europa League final defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

Hojlund has trained with the squad and took part in the preparations for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign but with Benjamin Sesko now in the building, the Danish striker could have graced Old Trafford for the final time.

These revelations will disappoint club captain Fernandes, who opened up about his desire not to win the Player of the Season award in May and instead hand it over to one of his younger teammates.
