Taine Plumtree has been ruled out of the remainder of the Six Nations with a shoulder injury, but Wales have not given up hope that Sam Costelow will feature in their final two games of the tournament.

Both were forced off during the 26-23 defeat by Scotland on Saturday. Afterwards, head coach Steve Tandy admitted neither looked good - with the Scarlets duo having scans on Monday.

Fly-half Costelow left the field after 54 minutes with an ankle problem, but the 25-year-old will stay with the squad to rehab.

Costelow, 25, left the field in the second half with an ankle problem but the Scarlets playmaker is staying with the squad to “continue with the rehabilitation” ahead of games with Ireland and Italy.
