Isak trains with LFC for first time since move
-
ALEXANDER Isak reported for duty yesterday for his first training session as a Liverpool player following his £125m move from Newcastle United.
The Sweden international ended a summer-long transfer saga on transfer deadline day when he completed his switch to the Premier League champions for a British-record sum.
Isak arrived on Merseyside for his medical on September 1 before immediately flying out for international duty with Jon Dahl Tomasson's side, playing no part in their 2-2 draw with Slovenia before emerging for an 18-minute cameo in the 2-0 loss to Kosovo on Monday night.
After having Tuesday off, Isak was at the club's £50m training base for his first full day as a Reds player, meeting up with a number of his new colleagues in Kirkby in the process.
Isak's run-out against Kosovo was his first appearance of any kind since the end of last season on May 25, meaning the £125m man is almost certain not to start when Slot's side are hosted by Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.
