EVERTON OVERHAUL CONTINUES AS TRAVERS SIGNS

EVERTON have signed goalkeeper Mark Travers from Premier League rivals Bournemouth for a fee believed to be in the region of £4million.

The Republic of Ireland international becomes the Blues' third signing of the summer transfer window.

Travers has put pen to paper on a four-year contract and will act as cover and competition for England international Jordan Pickford after the departures of backup keepers Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic.

Travers said: "I'm extremely proud and excited to be an Everton player. Coming in, you can feel how big this club is and the history that comes with it.

"You really feel that with the fanbase, the new stadium now as well and the direction the club is going in.

"It's a fresh start for me to come up here and try a new chapter in my career.
