Emergency helicopter airlift saves crew member in dramatic sea rescue

EMERGENCY crews rushed to assist after an individual was reported as “not breathing” on board a tanker vessel 22 nautical miles from the West Wales coastline.

St Davids RNLI's all-weather lifeboat launched at 1.04pm on Wednesday, responding to a Coastguard appeal for help with the medical crisis.

Benefiting from settled sea conditions, the volunteer crew accelerated to full speed as they hurried to reach the 95m ship.
