Concern as hate crime rate jumps in N. Wales

HATE crime is up by 4.3% in North Wales from the previous year - with 1,168 incidents reported in the last year.
Alarmingly, crimes relating to racial hatred were the most common, accounting for 64% of cases.
‘The North Wales Police and Crime Panel will meet at Conwy’s Coed Pella HQ on Monday, September 22. North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin is set to present a report to the panel, updating members on crime in the region.
Figures included in the report show that hate crime has risen by 4.3% between April 2024 and March 2025 from the previous year.
