4x4 stuck in estuary mud

A RANGE Rover got stuck in a muddy estuary after the owner tried to drive to an island off the coast.

Hilbre Islands are in the Dee Estuary between Flintshire and The Wirral.

A motorist attempted to reach the main island on Tuesday in a 4x4. The islands are normally reached by foot at low tide from the English side of the estuary.
