Hunt urges focus after Durban City’s dream start to life in the top flight

DURBAN City head coach Gavin Hunt has praised his team’s fighting spirit after a strong start to their Betway Premiership campaign, but stressed the importance of quickly refocusing ahead of their first home match under the new club identity.
The Citizens began life as Durban City in the top flight with a statement 2-0 victory over TS Galaxy on the road last Sunday, immediately sending a message that the newly rebranded side are ready to compete among South Africa's elite.
“It was not easy,’ Hunt reflected, after the match. “We started well and were on the front foot a couple of times.
“They had a good 10-minute spell before halftime, but as an away team, we played really well. We had chances and did not take them, then we scored just after halftime, and they tried to come back, but we got the second goal”
