'Weight loss' jabs could slow ageing
A DRUG used by celebrities that can aid weight loss could boost all-round health and even combat ageing, scientists have discovered.
The European Society of Cardiology congress, being held in London, heard how semaglutide had a range of benefits.
These include tackling untreatable high blood pressure, cutting Covid-19 deaths, reversing kidney disease and cutting risk of heart attack and strokes.
Currently it is injected and sold under brands such as Wegovy and Ozempic, both semaglutide at different doses.
