The Winterwatch trio are hoping to see some spectacular sights from their new location

Winterwatch is back and pine martens and red squirrels are expected to steal the show as Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams broadcast from Northern Ireland for the first time ever.

The trio will film wildlife at the exquisite Mount Stewart estate on the shores of Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland.

Alongside predatory pine martins and cheeky squirrels, they're also looking for long-eared owls, badgers, buzzards and swans all filmed with specialist equipment such as infrared cameras and innovative camera rigs.
