Experts call for tougher crackdown

PARENTS and ministers are being warned that children who start vaping are three times more likely to become heavy smokers.

Experts say their findings support stronger measures to protect teens from the health risks of both e-cigarettes and of smoking tobacco in later life.

Researchers from the University of York and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have carried out the largest-ever study into youth vaping.

They analysed 56 separate reviews covering almost 400 studies worldwide.
