Third aircraft carrier may move in but Tehran says 'path for deal' under way

DONALD Trump is cranking up pressure on Iran as the USS George HW Bush is set to bolster his war machine in the Middle East.

It would be the third aircraft carrier deployed to threaten Iran alongside the USS Abraham Lincoln, which is in the Arabian Sea, and the USS Gerald R Ford, said to be sailing to the region.

It comes after talks got under way in Geneva over US demands for Iran to end its nuclear programme and climb down on its ballistic weapons growth.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who attended yesterday's serious discussions, said "the path for a deal has started" with the US.
