Star reveals his training regime to prep for role as Marvel hero

- BY KENZI DEVINE

CHRIS Hemsworth has revealed the superhuman effort he puts in to play superhero Thor involves eating up to eight meals a day.

The Australian actor has signed up to play the Norse God once again in 2026 Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday.

But Chris, 42, who has previously had to gain 1st 5lb to play the fictional beefcake, says piling on the pounds can be hard work.

He said: "Honestly, when I am training to get into shape for Thor, I can eat up to eight meals per day.

"I mean, obviously it is good stuff - it is not like it is pizza and cheeseburgers - but, yeah, I need to consume a lot of calories."

As well as filling up on food, Chris has to put in a lot of hours in the gym to get in shape to play Thor.

COMPETITIVE

But he says his wife of 15 years, Elsa Pataky, is better at training, "without a doubt".
