THE Moody Blues star John Lodge will be widely remembered for his part in the band's classic hits such as Nights in White Satin.

But despite his success in one of the UK's biggest groups, family always came first for the bassist and singer, who has “suddenly and unexpectedly” at the age of 82.

Lodge’ religious beliefs were also a fundamental part of who he was.
