FINES TO COMBAT PLAGUE OF DISMISSALS

CHELSEA players have set up a dressing-room fine system between themselves that includes punishments for red cards.

Malo Gusto's sending off in Saturday's victory at Nottingham Forest was the Blues' fifth red - including manager Enzo Maresca's - in the last six matches in all competitions.

Robert Sanchez was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity against Manchester United, as was Trevoh Chalobah in the defeat to Brighton, while Joao Pedro and Gusto were both given two yellow cards in games against Benfica and Forest, respectively.

Maresca, who was sent off in the win against Liverpool, revealed the fine system inside the changing room as he prepared to face Ajax.
