Fresh after starring for Europe... Bob is now the links king

THE good times roll on for Bob MacIntyre after the inform Scot followed up Ryder Cup glory with victory at St Andrews at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

MacIntyre closed out a four-shot victory over European teammate Tyrrell Hatton with a third successive 66 in a tournament cut short by a round after the disruption caused by Saturday's storms.

And he admitted afterwards he surprised himself with the quality of his golf as he was still in party mode.

"I've done everything against the book this week from preparation - I pitched up Wednesday afternoon - to the diet which has not been good. I've eaten plenty of takeaways - fish and chips, plenty of others. But sometimes when you are least expecting it things happen," said MacIntyre.
