Supersub Lukas makes up for three 'horrific' touches

STINKER TO STONKER

IT'S transfer season and for Leeds, this win over Fulham was a tale of new signings - and those who just slipped away.

Pre-match, the focus revolved around new January recruit Facundo Buonanotte, who arrived on loan from Brighton on Thursday having rejected Leeds for Chelsea - where he spent the first half of the season - at the last minute in the summer.

That forced Leeds to pivot towards Harry Wilson, who had signed papers to join Leeds on deadline day before Fulham pulled the plug.

On Saturday, he soon turned himself into the pantomime villain when he cynically scythed down summer arrival Gabriel Gudmundsson (inset, above) - who scored a bizarre stoppage-time own goal in September's 1-0 reverse fixture - to spark Elland Road into bearpit mode.

The cries of passion from the stands led to on-pitch momentum which carried Leeds throughout the second half and ultimately to a stoppage-time winner of their own, with fellow off-season signing Lukas Nmecha grabbing the headlines.
