HARRY BROOK'S first sip from the chalice as England's white-ball captain could turn into a tug-of-war between Lord's and Indian Premier League franchises.

England's one-day international squad to face West Indies in a three-match series starting on May 29 includes five players contracted to the moneybags IPL - which was halted for a week because of India and Pakistan exchanging missiles over disputed Kashmir territory.

The five include former skipper Jos Buttler (below), and England have not ruled out allowing individuals to skip the Windies series in favour of their lucrative franchise deals.
