UN summit over Putin's 'very serious' Nato air violations
RUSSIA has been given a stark warning that Nato will defend its territory after Vladimir Putin's latest brazen violation of the alliance's airspace.
Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy said the dictator will be up against a "very, very serious effort" after Russian jets flew into Estonian airspace for 12 minutes on Friday.
Mr Lammy called the incident a "very serious breach" and "potentially a serious escalation".
His warning came as the United Nations called an emergency Security Council meeting for this morning.
