Emmerdale star Mike Parr says viewers can expect plenty of drama as bad boy Ross Barton's life descends into chaos

'Ross is a lone wolf, he won't be held back'

Charity Dingle is pregnant - and the baby might be Ross Barton's. The shock twist stunned Emmerdale fans, but for actor Mike Parr, who plays the brooding troublemaker, the storyline hits close to home.

Off-screen, Mike is also preparing for fatherhood with his girlfriend Isabelle Du Plessis. "How ironic that there's this storyline going on and I have one on the way," he says.

Last week, Charity found out she was pregnant after weeks of trying to conceive a baby as a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah. The teen, who suffers from the condition Fanconi anemia, can't have a child of her own, so she was thrilled when Charity was willing to carry her baby for her.

But Ross isn't celebrating Charity's pregnancy. "He's a bit like a dog with a bone," Mike says. "He knows Charity is a bit of a lying scoundrel, as is he. He just wants confirmation. Is this his child or not?"
