GOLFER Rory McIlroy's marriage is back on course after he dramatically ditched plans to divorce his wife of seven years, Erica Stoll.

The four-time major champion, who tees off in the US Open today, has filed a notice of voluntary dismissal.

It is unclear why he U-turned a month after calling quits on his marriage to Stoll, mum of their girl Poppy, three. But millionaire McIlroy, 35, has said: "There have been rumours about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumour is a fool's game.
