Pubs packed as football fans take advantage of lam finish

PUBGOERS across England last night celebrated as the Lionesses' Euros win secured their place among footballing royalty.

Parties continued into the early hours thanks to relaxed licensing hours, meaning bars could stay open until lam after the nail-biting victory against Spain in Switzerland.

Pubs were packed in Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, London and Liverpool as fans got behind the back-to-back Euros winners.

Music fans at the Latitude festival in Suffolk watched the game on a big screen.

At Boxpark in Croydon, South London - famous for its wild celebrations - hundreds of fans crammed in before the 5pm kick-off.

Nine-year-old Ivy Garside was at a reserved table with her sister and mum. She said afterwards: "It's been a great day. It's been great to be here.
