'One moment of anger can change so many people's lives forever'

THE death of a man in a skate park stabbing that also left a teenage boy in a critical condition has deeply worried a close-knit community, a councillor said.

Police launched a murder probe after emergency services were alerted to reports of a double stabbing during an altercation at 3.45pm on Wednesday.

A man in his 20s died at the scene, while a teenage boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Four locals - two teenage boys, a man and a woman - have been arrested over the tragedy in Northampton.

Independent West Northamptonshire councillor Julie Davenport said: "It has been a very unsettling night for everyone in Briar Hill and the wider area because this type of crime is rare in this close-knit community.
