One in five too skint to eat properly

A GRIM poll has laid bare the squeeze on family finances across the country.

The study by TUC/38 Degrees, carried out by Survation, revealed more than one in five adults (21%) skip meals every day or most days.

And more than one in three (36%) said they were cutting back on heating daily or most days, the survey of 2,082 adults found. An overwhelming majority (79%) said their financial circumstances were either stagnant or getting worse.
