Surging Saints put nine tries past Giants

ST HELENS continued their red-hot form with a dominant nine-try thumping of Huddersfield to leapfrog Leigh and Leeds into third spot in the Super League table.

The emphatic victory marked Paul Wellens’ side's eighth win in nine matches.

Mark Percival opened the scoring after 10 minutes, and the Saints took full advantage when the Giants were reduced to 12 men following Taane Milnes sin-binning for dissent in the 17th minute.

The hosts ran in three tries during that crucial period - through Kyle Feldt, Tristan Sailor, and a brilliant solo effort from rising star Owen Dag-nall - to storm into a 24-0 lead.
