Olivier stage sword left for future great actors

A STAGE sword that once belonged to Laurence Olivier could become a trophy for acting legends.

The treasured theatrical prop, once wielded in Shakespeare's Richard III, has been left in the will of actress Joan Plowright.

It originally belonged to 19th-century Shakespearean actor Edmund Kean and was later passed to Dame Joan’s late husband, Laurence Olivier.
