SLOWING inflation proves the government's plan is working, Rachel Reeves says, pledging: “We have got your back.”

Inflation slowed down for the second month in a row in March on the back of falling petrol prices, official figures show.

The Office for National Statistics also said a drop in the price of computer games contributed.
