He suffered 80-6 defeat for Salford but got to play alongside teen cousin making his debut

BEING sent on loan to play for Super League's bottom club and ending up having 80 points put on you isn't ordinarily the greatest gig.

But for Leigh's Brad Dwyer, that negative experience turned into a real positive as it meant he was able to feature in a momentous family occasion.

The ex-Leeds hooker, 32, came off the bench for cash-strapped Salford in Sunday's 80-6 thrashing at Hull - along with his teenage cousin Taylor Kerr who was making his Super League debut.

Like Dwyer, Wigan loose forward Kerr, 19, had moved to Red Devils on a one-week loan just to help them get enough numbers to fulfil the fixture.

Former Warrington star Dwyer, whos been struggling to get a shot with third-placed Leopards, explained: “My cousin is Taylor's mum. So whatever that is!
