Pritchard exit after MPs call her 'complacent'

NHS boss Amanda Pritchard is to step down amid plans for a radical new era for the service.

Ms Pritchard became NHS England's chief executive in 2021 and her exit comes months before the start of what the government has branded the biggest overhaul since the NHS's creation in 1948.

It also came a day after a meeting with Health Secretary Wes Streeting and weeks after MPs on two Commons committees criticised NHS leadership.
