LEWIS CROCKER is excited to follow in the footsteps of his sister and make history for Irish boxing this weekend.

- BY CHRIS MCKENNA

After all, it was his sibling who got him into the sport.

The Belfast man is hoping to win the vacant IBF welterweight title against Paddy Donovan at Windsor Park on Saturday night.

It's the first world title contested between two Irishmen which, given the nation’s illustrious history in the sport, is some feat.

The pair (Crocker, left, with Donovan, at Windsor Park) fought an eliminator in March with Limerick man Donovan disqualified when he was dominating.
