POP star Mariah Carey and opera singer Andrea Bocelli turned up the heat to get the Winter Olympics under way in Italy last night.
The pair performed at the opening ceremony in Milan's San Siro stadium in front of a 76,000-strong crowd, joined by stars from the world of sport including former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahi-movic and three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker.
Princess Anne was also in the audience for a stunning show featuring 500 musicians, 1,200 performers and 1,400 costumes.
