FRANKS A LOT FOR ROM RAID

THOMAS FRANK will be hoping Cristian Romero's moment of magic will be the turning point in Tottenham's season.

Romero stunned the Newcastle crowd with a stoppage-time overhead kick to give Spurs a vital point.

It’s still just three wins in 14 matches across all competitions but this will be seen as something to build on.

Twice Tottenham had to respond at Newcastle, and twice Romero popped up.

Ange Postecoglou led Tottenham to the Europa League trophy last season but their domestic form has been poor for 18 months.

The arrival of Frank from Brentford seemed to bring an upturn in results but it’s now five Premier League matches without a win.

Bruno Guimaraes had put Newcastle in front before Romero headed home. Gordon's spot-kick look to have sunk Spurs but Romero’s athleticism earned a point.
