Failure to beat Saints will mark Rovers' worst start in 150 years

UNDER-PRESSURE boss Valerien Ismael admits he is a worried man as he bids to avoid the record books for all the wrong reasons.

Second-bottom Blackburn Rovers will post the worst start to a season in their proud 150-year history if they fail to beat Southampton.

Only once in their history has it taken Blackburn until a sixth game to win their first home match of a season.

A draw or defeat will mean it is the first time they have ever gone six games at the start of the season without registering a home win.

The fact they had victory snatched away by the Ewood Park abandonment against Ipswich rubs salt in the wounds as does the EFL ruling they must replay the game, despite leading against 10 men going into the final minutes of the original fixture last month.
