EastEnders mind crisis plot could cut stigma

SAMARITANS said it hopes a storyline it worked on with EastEnders will help tackle stigma around mental health problems.

The soap is currently showing Ravi Gulati, played by Aaron Thiara, considering suicide.

He will reach crisis point later this month, with his family getting him care.

Samaritans was called in by EastEnders to ensure the story was told accurately and sensitively.
