DWP will be probed on post office fraud cases

DOZENS of prosecutions of subpostmasters are to be looked at by a new independent investigation.

Around 100 people were taken to court by the Department for Work and Pensions between 2001 and 2006 during the Horizon IT scandal.

Some 61 of them were convicted and the DWP now faces calls to “come clean’ about its actions.
