Defence minister's warning follows Nato WWIII forecast

UKRAINE launched a predawn onslaught on Russia's oil industry as Britain was warned the UK may have to go on a war footing.

Kyiv's drones sparked fireballs in a key Moscow refinery in a bid to smash Russian president Vladimir Putin's bankrolling of his war on Ukraine.

Amid the escalation, UK Veterans Minister Al Carns warned: “The shadow of war is knocking on Europe's door once more.

He added: “That's the reality. We've got to be prepared to deter it”
