Star tells of trauma in new book

PETER Kay has revealed he had to have emergency surgery on a giant kidney stone, going into graphic but comic detail on the saga.

The comedian, 52, needed a stent fitting after the condition caused “major trauma” to his urethra, he says in a new book.

His March entry for Peter Kay’s Diary recounts the painful process, which took place several years ago, and the conversation he had with the urologist.
