Midfield ace ready to impress for City and help the boss get over transfer despair
MAX BIRD insists he is ready to fly.
Bristol City’s 24-year-old midfielder reckons he can be like a new signing to help boss Gerhard Struber get over his transfer window disappointment.
Bird is pushing for his first league start of the season after coming off the bench to score in the 4-2 win over Hull before the international break.
The former Derby playmaker admits it has been hard to miss out with a calf problem after featuring in every Championship match for the Robins last season, but he hopes to make up for lost time at Sheffield Wednesday.
