HE met Madonna before she was famous, spun the decks at a football legend's wedding and taught Nicole Kidman how to DJ... just don't ask him about his messy night out with Cher.

One of the original superstar DJs, Norman Cook also known as Fatboy Slim - is lifting the lid on his 40-year career in his new book.

It Ain't Over 'Til the Fatboy Sings is out next week, packed with pictures and stories from the heady days of pop, rave and dance culture.

"It's 40 years this year that I quit my day job and joined the circus," he said. "There comes a point in your life, in your career, when people say, do you want to write an autobiography? This ain't going to happen because I can't remember the juicy bits... and the other juicy bits I can't have published while my children and my parents are still alive."
