Liverpool legend Hansen all smiles as he's made MBE by Prince William

FOOTBALL legend Alan Hansen looked in great spirits as he was awarded an MBE just nine months after a serious health scare.

Former Liverpool and Scotland star Hansen 69, picked up his gong from Prince William in a ceremony at Windsor Castle.

The ex-Match of the Day pundit was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to football and broadcasting.

Hansen, who won three European Cups, eight league titles, two FA Cups and three League Cups in 620 appearances for Liverpool, shared a joke with the future King.
