Sausage firm urges men to check testicles for lumps & bumps

- BY AMANDA STOCKS

ONE minute could save your life, says a new testicular cancer awareness campaign, which is calling on men to put down their phones and check their bits.

Its advice comes after a YouGov poll revealed that only 36% of men check for lumps or changes at least once a week.

This compares with 68% of blokes finding plenty of time to check their phones several times a day – scrolling Tik Tok, YouTube and other social platforms, for things like sports scores (49%).

While 41% of men rarely check their testicles, 20% never do.

Yet testicular is the most common cancer in men aged 15 to 34, with around 2,400 cases diagnosed annually in the UK, according to Nuffield Health.

The YouGov poll of around 2,000 men was commissioned by HECK! Food, whose co-founder Jamie Keeble was diagnosed with the disease in 2015.
